about the project

Optimisation of customer service

Gastromax provides catering services for large manufacturing and service companies. The aim of this unusual project was to modernise and automate processes related to ordering, issuing and settlement of meals for employees. We achieved success - for nearly two years, our system has been providing comfortable and effective catering services for one of the largest international retail chains.

Process

A good understanding of end-users' needs enables you to create a solution that delivers concrete benefits

step 1
Analytical workshop

We try our best to understand your key needs and share our experience.

step 3
Prototype

We launch a test system as soon as possible to collect feedback and train users.

step 2
Castomisation

We configure the solution, feed it with data and build interfaces with physical devices such as card readers.

step 4
Implementation and maintenance

We set up the production system and ensure its continuity.

CHALLENGE

Improving employee satisfaction

Our task was to implement a system in a large, international corporation which would help optimise processes, and in particular - allow for the reduction of food waste and streamline settlements between the catering provider and the person ordering the meals.

A seemingly simple task was associated with high expectations - with 2,000 employees and meals served in four canteens, until now there was never any certainty that what the kitchen prepared would match the expectations of consumers. Thanks to the implementation of our solution, the costs of meal production have been reduced and the satisfaction of the company's employees has increased considerably.

As a result of implementing the system, the catering company knows in advance how many and what type of meals to prepare, and employees can be sure that each of them will get the meal exactly as ordered.
technology

Software supporting RFID terminals and readers

In the project, we used components of the EXSO+ platform, extending them with mechanisms related to the operation of terminals and RFID readers. For the convenience of employees ordering meals, the system interface has been adapted to personal mobile devices.

EXSO+ platform modules used in the project:

EXSO-CORE
EXSO-PAS

Technology at the service of usability and... ecology

The system handles the ordering and planning of meals for almost 2,000 users. The factory employees order lunches in various sets, thanks to which the catering company can plan purchases for selected variants of lunches and reduce food waste.

The software we developed is integrated with hardware supplied by EXSO, which is placed at the serving counter and in the kitchen. Thanks to this, employees who want to pick up a pre-ordered lunch have to scan only once on the card reader, while the staff serving meals receives information on a tablet whether a given meal was actually ordered and what variant to serve.

Although the system was ordered by a catering company, its main beneficiary is a well-known, large furniture manufacturer. Satisfaction of the system users translated into expectations that a similar solution will be implemented in all of the company's plants in Poland.
